Chicago's Bishop Ford Freeway was a dangerous place to be early in the morning on Sunday, August 12, 2012, as three related car accidents occurred in quick succession. The first crash was a vehicle rollover accident that injured three women around 3 am. A few minutes later, a second, less serious crash occurred between cars that were slowing down to "rubberneck" as they passed the scene of the first crash. About ten minutes later, in the northbound lanes, a drunk driver hit several vehicles that had slowed down to look at the scene of the first accident. The drunk driver fled the scene, but was apprehended by police and arrested.
