A taxicab accident on the Northwest side of Chicago on August 14, 2012, killed one person and injured two. The driver lost control of the cab, which flipped four times, according to witnesses. The cab struck a pedestrian, Eric Kerestes, 30, who was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The taxi driver and his passenger were both pulled from the vehicle by bystanders before it caught fire; they were hospitalized.
