Speeding Driver Gets Six Months for Fatal Crash

Last updated 6 years ago

A speeding driver who caused a crash that killed a teen was sentenced today, September 25, 2012.   Lukasz Marszalek, now 22, was driving his Mazda at least 76 miles per hour in a 40-mph zone when his vehicle collided with that of Julie Gorczynski, 17.  Gorczynski was killed in the Orland Park crash.  The case, which triggered a push for tougher sentencing laws for speeding drivers, ended with the maximum sentence for Marszalek: 180 days in jail (six days of which he has served) and a $275 fine.  McCready, Garcia & Leet wins justice for people who die or sustain personal injuries in car accidents.  For a free consultation, please contact us at (773) 779-9885.
