Cerebral Palsy Lawsuit Wins Family $14.4 Million

Last updated 6 years ago

A jury awarded $14.4 million to Jennifer and Ted Hill, formerly of Lombard, Illinois, and their 13-year-old son Ryan. Ryan suffers from cerebral palsy; on September 4, 2012, the jury ruled in favor of the Hills and held Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Comprehensive Women’s Heath Care and the doctor who delivered him, Elisa Sabbagha, at fault for Ryan's condition, citing a series of decisions made by Sabbagha and staff during Ryan's birth.  Northwestern Memorial is considering appealing the ruling.
