Five people were seriously injured when a van rolled over in Gary, Indiana, on November 30, 2012. The van, which was driven by a teacher from First Baptist Church, was carrying teenaged members of a basketball team, who were playing at a tournament at Hyles-Anderson College in St. John Township. The van veered off the northbound exit ramp and rolled over onto the side of the road. One boy was thrown from the van and was airlifted for emergency treatment to Loyola University Medical Center. The driver had a fractured skull and was in stable condition. Three other teens were injured; the rest received bruises and scrapes.
